The Premise:
Thirty years ago, a catastrophic crash left the crew and colonists of the USCSS Perseverance stranded on the distant world of Sion-Mecca. Having built a new, peaceful life, they have long since given up on the chance of rescue. But in the deep distance of space, a celestial object is now behaving in a way it should not, threatening to destroy the fragile tranquility of their home. This is the story of Sarah, her family, and a civilisation on the brink of a terrifying discovery.
The Story:
On a planet they have named Sion-Mecca, the survivors have long since given up on the chance of being rescued. The fertile planet’s plentiful resources have allowed them to build a thriving new home in isolation, and for decades, peace has prevailed. We join Sarah and her family as they live their lives on this new world.
However, that peace is about to be shattered. A terrifying discovery is made in the deep distance of space, a celestial object that is not behaving as a star should. As the anomaly grows closer, it will threaten to destroy the fragile peace and the world they’ve worked so hard to build.
Welcome to Purgatory.
Chapter One – Five: Synopsis
The discovery of the celestial anomaly sends a growing sense of unease through the colony of Sion-Mecca. What was once dismissed as an interesting scientific quirk, is now a source of deep anxiety and a threat that cannot be ignored. We follow Sarah and her family as they try to maintain a sense of normalcy amidst the quiet panic, only to find themselves at the centre of a decision that will either secure the future of the colony or bring their peace to a terrifying end.
